The crew here at Whole Lot/Little Bit of Nonsense also wants to ask y'all to think positive thoughts for my friend Lisa who lost her father, and offer her support as she does the Scope it Out 5K Run to help raise awareness about, and money for, colon cancer research. Fri, 7 March 2008 Saturday, Saturday, Saturday! Slam fans! Poetry Lovers! Coming live to the Dactyl Foundation in Soho! International UK and US simulcast poetry slam! Saturday! Saturday! Saturday!I don't know if the rest of you remember, or still hear, the monster truck rally adverts... that's where my brain was... Ok. Sure, Slamidol has been in my PodCast feed for a couple of years now, and Simon is an awesome guy who finds great poets to put on his show. Why is this show special? Well, Simon himself gave me the reason I can help promote this show... albeit at the last minute. In an email to me, Simon wrote, "we're making a big thing out of how eco-friendly it is because no poets are being flown around for this UK vs US Slam." Awesome. This is what it's all about, people. Make those little changes you can where you can. So. You people here in the US. If you love poetry slams, get yourself on over to the Dactyl Foundation in Soho on March 3 from 15.00 to 18.00. In the US, it's free. Comments[0] |
